Becoming A Confident Communicator

Be a Confident Business Communicator

In today’s globalized economy, it’s not unusual for an American to give a presentation in China, an Italian to negotiate a deal in Nigeria, or for a German to manage a team of Brazilians. And today’s highly-connected world provides a myriad of ways to conduct global business: by phone, e-mail, video conference, or in person. In many Asian cultures, the importance of waiting carefully for your counterparts to nish their sentences before you speak demonstrates both valued listening skills and communi- cation skills. This is true from Korea to Thailand to Malaysia to Indonesia.

Yet despite these options, it’s not uncommon for cultural signals to be misinterpreted and confused. The result can lead to misun- derstandings -- or worse -- lost business opportunities. The more the world globalizes, the more important our ability to commu- nicate globally becomes. One of the biggest challenges arises when you are managing a multi-cultural team, with people from several cultures other than your own who need to work together e ectively.

Hence, e ective oral communication is a key skill in business. David Ho provides simple communication tools, strategies, and tips that are easy to use and produce immediate results. He'll help you sound more con dent, use body and language to better express ideas, and overcome anxiety. At the end of this workshop, all these concepts will be brought together in two real-world coaching exercises that will help you see the techniques in action.

David will cover these following areas of essential Communication skills: - Organizing your thoughts

- Speaking slowly, naturally, and con dently

- Breathing properly

- Using your body to reinforce speech

- Managing facial expressions

- Handling nervousness

- Integrating voice modulation, eye contact, and hand gestures into a powerful and engaging communication style
